Story 1 : teens sentenced after plotting gun attack on school 

Cleveland,  Ohio -  two teenagers have been sentenced to a minimum of a year in custody for plotting an attack at their  high school.

The two boys , 15 and 15 , had pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit murder at South High School. They still could be held until tje age of 21 the maximum penalty under juvenile law , but under the sentence pronounced, the state department of Youth Services has the discretion to release them after a year . 

The plot was discovered when a student told school officials a group of teenagers planned to open fire on Oct 29th , homecoming day .

Two other students have pleased guilty to inducing panic  . One of them received a minimum 6- month sentence. Sentencing for the other was delayed pending completion of a background report. 

Story 2 : Cyclone mandous updates - Tamil Nadu braces for heavy rainfall , Schools shut.

Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) had forecasted that the wind will reach a maximum speed of 85 kmph. The landfall for Cyclone Mandous was completed on December 10 as the storm's rear sector crossed into the area. It is quite likely to proceed almost west northwestward before progressively fading into a severe depression.

 On December 12 and 13, fishermen have been advised not to travel towards the southeast and adjacent east central Arabian Sea, along with the coasts of Kerala and Karnataka.

Three people have died in Sri Lanka, according to Sri Lanka's Disaster Management Centre (DMC), and over 21,000 people have been affected by the unfavourable weather conditions brought on by Cyclone Mandous.
